Effectively free in to the Fingal match (their last in the league ?) as the entrance fee was left up to the spectator.

    812?!

I'd be surprised if the stand was half-full. That's just nonsense.

How can it be free if you have to pay in? And whats with their last in the league comment Mr Dunne? 812 looks about right. Dont call it nonsense stu just because YOU dont agree with it.

Jodi was full at the Bohs game. Probably about 80-100 away fans. I find it's harder to tell how big a crowd is when you're sitting amongst them though.

This season the crowds have been f*cked around big time, with the 1st Oriel game on a sunday, on telly and it was Mothers day! 2nd game in Oriel was midweek. Plus the fact our support has all but disappeared this season :-(
before last season it was a long time before we had a premier league derby, but in the interim there were FAI cup games, and these attracted huge crowds.
I think some older Dundalk fans do regard Rovers as more of a rivalry, but theres defo still an edge there, and the atmosphere at the derbies the last couple of years has been terrific.
No, our biggest crowd was the first Bohs game I think in May (3,200) The first drogs game was 2,550.

Both Rovers home games were on Monday, as was the 2d Drogs

He said it was effectively free in. You had to pay a penny minimum, so he was right in what he said.

The stand holds what - 800? So you're telling me the crowd would have filled the stand to the brim, even though it was half empty and there were very few people outside the stand?

It'll go in as the official crowd - it'd just get too messy to start querying official figures (Sligo) - but you're only foooling yourself if you think there were 812 there. 450 is my reckoning.

For it to be effectivley free then it would have to free in which it wasnt. How much did you pay in stu?

I thought there was more than 812 stu but i'll go with extra time on this one and we all know what your guesses are like

it's more likely to be 5-1.

There was over 800 at the Fingal-UCD game last night, I noticed this on a quick stroll during the game. Good game too that proved UCD's failing. When you move the ball into dangerous positions you don't nonce about with it, put it in the box. Even with minutes to go UCD had Fingal pressed back and were caught on breaks because they couldn't put the ball in the box, Stu would have seen that better than most from his position. Well done SF for a good night, great buzz after.

Do you actually know what "effectively" means?

Seriousl)n where were these 800 people? Cos the 800-capacity stand was half-full, the far side was empty and there weren't 400 standing around.

Bumper crowd in the Showgies last night, couldnt see how many were in the Jinks since I was in it.
But the New Stand was full 10 minutes before Kick Off.

The jinks avenue was more or less full except for a few empty spaces in Pats section, around 300 of them. Close to 3,000 in total.

The New Stand, combined with the Railway End and Shed End was about 2000.
Then about 4-500 in the Jinks in our section and like you said about 300 Pats fans so ya not far off 3000.
Fair play to the Pats fans, rotten night and on a friday with good numbers.
