Amazing crowd in tallaght tonight. . Mainly down to the 300 kids who got free tickets off the rovers camp but im sure a few of them will be back again after seeing that performance.

1984 at Turners Cross last night according to match report on extra time.

Not a chance in hell was the just under 2000 in Turners Cross. I would of said a generous 1200.
1984 is far to much of a coincidental attendance on the last ever meeting of our two clubs before they go back to Cork City FC (1984)
On the Rovers forum they are saying could be up on 300, but has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

We always seem to have a larger travelling support for yourselves and Bohs rather than Shams or any of the other Dublin based clubs.
Paranoid. I thought it was a poetic attendance myself. You see, unlike other clubs, CCFC count season tickets as attending as well. I've been to most games this year, and before the attendance was called out, I thought to myself, about 1900. It was accurate.
Is there any photos going around? Not a chance 1900 people there. Season Tickets counted even if they don't show up?
No. The season tickets are actually a book of tickets that are presented and stubbed at the turnstiles. So the official attendance is an actual figure of how many people are in the ground.*
Edit: Bar players/managers and referees obviously.
I know the stadium quite well and I'm usually not far off in my guesses. I thought it was around 2000, 1984 might be a coincedence, or perhaps it was close to that and they decided to annouce that instead of the actual number, I don't know. But it sounds about right. The announced attendences are always correct normally, no reason to assume this wasn't.

Not really expecting a good crowd tomorrow because its the 3rd rovers game in 4 days, its a monday night and theres the liverpool match on which will keep a few people at home but it should still be a decent enough crowd

Here on a technicality.
My opinon, it my be unspoken, but Sligo Rovers fans will travel in greater numbers to teams (in Dublin) depends on how much respect they have for that club. Probably why you see Pats, and lesser Bohs geting more Rovers fans than say Shams and Fingal.
