Dear lord, this is the worst performance in a long time(second half anyway, first wasnt too bad), two CB's getting caught in possesion, amatuer stuff.

Robbies been woeful, as was Lawrence, not many have played well.....

We should be down three or four nil at this point. Great goal from Robinho there!

    superb goal.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

I don't get it, Doyles been decent, Robbies had a howler, why not take Robbie off and see how Best works with Doyle, Robbie won't be fit forever

A good goal for what it was, but that's a terrible backline, Championship CB with two subs for a team that could well be Championship next yr(Hull) and Kelly(whos been the best of the 4)

Dont know how andrews got man of the match. Only got the second half. After whelan and duff left we were walked over. Mcgeady was terrible, so was robbie. Thought doyler played well, McCarthy looked a touch of class when he came on, bit of threat in the brazilian half. Never want to see McShane in an irish jersey again, i mean really, wilson should have been on instead. Kelly proved himself tonight in my opinion.

Decent first half performance tonight but bit of a wasted opprtunity I think. Should have given a few more players beyond the usual suspects a run as learned little or nothing new. Best & McCarthy should have gotten longer and should have tried other defensive options apart from Kilbane & McShane as they struggle at international level as has been shown in the last qualifying campaign and again this evening. Kelly only 'new' positive tonight imo.

Yeah I also thought Whelan and Kelly played well.
Duff took a lot of pressure off the defence by holding onto the ball well in their half. I think that is what we missed when he came off.
Gibson did nothing particularly good or bad when he came on, which mirrors his ManU career so far.
Best looked decent when he came on.
McShane and St. Ledger is a no go as CB partnership, they both need someone like Dunne beside them to help them out.
McCarthy did OK for his first cap, lots of potential there.
Kilbane was kilbane and Keane wasn't up to much.
Doyle played well but had no end-product again.
So for the next few friendlies Stokes and Best need more time to see if they can develop into decent alternatives.
Ward has to be called into the squad in an attempt to find a replacement for Kilbane.
More game time for Gibson and McCarthy to help shore up CMF and try out O'dea and Wilson at CB (not together though).
A few more games for Kelly at RB to see if he can consistanly play so well, although Foley should be given his chance too.

Strange game. I thought we did well in the first half, committing numbers forward, pressing up the pitch and keeping possession fairly well and then the goal went in which was unfortunate. The 2nd half I thought initially at least started out ok but around the 60th minute the Brazilians seemed to move up a gear coinciding with us having shot our bolt at that stage and the result was car crash stuff. However, we're as well to have the likes of McShane exposed at centre half now rather than him doing ok against the likes of Algeria and retaining his place. I wouldn't be too despondent there were some good signs early on and its good to have got a game under our belt after Paris.Hopefully a bit more experimentation for the next couple of games before getting our best team together for the Argentina game.
