Back in the starting line up today for Burnley away to Leicester. Looks like he's playing right midfield, with Hendrick in the middle.
Brady would be an improvement on the left or even in the 8 position if he got some fitness and form.
Played left midfield. Didn’t get up to much. Hasn’t played a lot of football over last couple of seasons and from what I saw today he did nothing to force Mick’s hand about a recall. Hopefully he can get more game time in the coming weeks and make a compelling case to be brought in for the Denmark game.
Replaced Hendrick after 84 minutes yesterday and got credited with assists for both of Burnley's consolation goals: https://www.premierleague.com/match/46697 - let's hope he gets some more time over the next couple of weeks
He didn't do much in each of those assists in truth!
I'd be inclined to pick him and hope he has another lille performance. I was just trying to say that there are assists like a lovely through ball or a pull back, and assists like being the last player to touch the ball before a long range deflected shot. Brady's were more of the latter variety on Saturday.
I'm a Brady fan but he really hasn't been up to much the past two seasons. I'm not writing him off and I know he's had a bad run of injuries -- but I understand why Mick has been leaving him out. One thing I will say is that given set pieces are so important to us, we really need to have one of Brady or Hourihane on the pitch at all times. Wasn't keen on Mick leaving Hourihane out of the starting lineup for the Swiss match. Having Whelan take corners for example made them a hell of a lot less dangerous.
He has enough quality to come good again if he can get fitness and a run of games. Still 27.
Starts today alongside Hendrick for Burnley, good to see
Scores this evening against City after coming in. Hendrick played the full 90
Apparently Newcastle were in for Brady and Hendrick but both could end up staying where they are:
Burnley set to keep Brady but Hendrick's future remains unclear https://the42.ie/5067558
Burnley are apparently in some financial difficulties so they may need to offload a few players.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
He's on the bench today for Burnley, while average left back- Erik Pieters- fills in left midfield against Sheffield United.
On the Burnley side, there's a rare start for Kevin Long. McGoldrick, Egan and Stevens start for Sheffield United.
I think he is the only defender on the bench so he has a great shout of doing so today.
Injured before half-time in Burnley's opener today. Looks like it might be a rib injury. The poor guy has no luck with injuries, hopefully he's not out for more than a month.
My first reaction? Jack Byrne time.
Bruised ribs, according to Dyche. Sore, but not has serious as it might be.
