So you're claiming the licencing meetings took place on a Sunday?

Wasn't directed at you. But yes, thats the case. Should that really be the case to accomodate a club who have ****ed over everyone involved with them all season?

Maybe they're just so confused by the mess down in Cork they're struggling to get through their application

The license system is pointless if Cork get one.

Cork City's licence application should be an open-shut case tbh.

So if you have a problem, please direct it to a Mr J Delaney, Abbotstown, not Drogheda United.

The away section in Oriel does not meet licensing criteria either.
The only criteria for an away section of any ground is the availability of some covered seats to away fans which there is at Oriel. So if you have a problem with getting wet at Oriel I suggest you pay the extra few bob to get a seat in the designated away seating at the front of the stand in oriel.

My mistake, apologies. I thought it was obvious what I meant in the first place though.

I actually do sit in the stand.
But the licensing manual calls for refreshments for away fans (not available on the terrace), disabled toilets (not there), emergency lighting (twice we've had to walk out of Oriel in the pitch dark), permanent water fonts (none there) and turnstiles(unsure about this one but as far as I can rememberwe buy our tickets outside at the caravan and go through the big gate showing the ticket to the stewards).
Personally it makes no difference to me about these but technically they are a breach of licensing. UP has a lot more than that wrong with it but the FAI gave the licence last year based on their plans (which they never followed up) and presumably this year on the basis that they have permission to rectify the issues.
I bet its probable that a lot of grounds have similar issues that are in breach.

In here if you are interested
Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week

    SAINTS RECEIVE PREMIER DIVISION LICENSE
St Patrick’s Athletic have this evening been informed by the club Licence Committee that they have been granted a club licence for the 2010 season.

Speaking today Club Licence Manager Philip Nolan said.” The club licensing process is an important part of the league I would like to thank all the people at the club that played a part in securing the club licence”
