Freeman doubtful for season kick-off
Drogheda United striker David Freeman, a close-season signing from St Patrick’s Athletic, will have to wait for his competitive Drogs debut after being ruled out of Friday night’s league opener against Waterford United.
Former Nottingham Forest youngster Freeman - who scored the winner for the Saints in last season’s League Cup decider against Longford Town - left Inchicore to sign for Drogheda last month.
