    European Qualification

    Can somebody tell me the means of qualifying for European qualification for the Irish League?

    Irish League .... you should ask on some of their boards ... they will be more familar. Most of the users here will only know about the National League (League of Ireland) ... unless some of the lads from Derry could help you out !!
    The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

    2nd-Uefa Preliminary Round
    Cup Winner-Ditto
    3rd-Inter Toto Cup (always, always taken up, esp now with the summer season)

    Pretty much same as Irish league although third place up here doen't always take up their Intertoto place. Linfield refused it last year so Omagh Town took it.

    Linfield did not see it as worthwhile and felt it was wrong to have their players playing competitive games in June although I think the poor draw may also have had something to do with it.
