Huge task in the City of the Tribes

KILKENNY City face a huge task in their first game of the new Eircom League season.
They travel to Galway on Friday to take on Galway United, many people’s favourites to win the First Division.
Tony Mannion has put together a very strong squad of 30 players, a nice mix of youth and experience.
A huge asset to Tony Mannion’s Tribesmen should be former Derry City goalkeeper Alan Gough, one of the most experienced netminders in the country.
He is expected to get the nod ahead of last season’s regular goalkeeper Robbie Forde, a former favourite at Buckley Park.
