What with Ryan Babel having got into trouble for his Twitter outburst last week and this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8470735.stm coming out of Old Trafford today, are any LoI players on Twitter?
If they are, does a "tweet" from one of them count as celebrity?
And does anyone actually care?
Twitter is pure dreadful.
It does have a few helpful usages, but in general is used by boring people to tell other boring people about every single, excruiatingly tedious second of their uneventful lives.
'Late night, just getting up for breakfast'.
'Hmm - Coco Pops. I like'.
'Breakfast done, about to get bus'.
'Bus is jammed ! I hate rush hour'
Etc etc etc
TEEEEEEDIOUS......!!!
Not sure if any Cork City players are on twitter but imagine the "tweets"
"Went to the banklink machine this morning, wages still not in my account, got myself a paper cup and sat on St Patricks Bridge in the hope of obtaining a few coppers"
"Garlic bread - it’s the future, I’ve tasted it."
Brian Potter - Phoenix Nights
I like it. Bohs and Athlone are now on twitter. Not sure of any other clubs.
"oh my, that was some beer we had last night, I think I feel like getting sick" Effin Eddie
We have a twitter page.. And a facebook page as of yesterday o.o
Thanks for reminding me that I needed to tweet our latest news on signings!
It's essentially a marketing tool. Some people are better as tools than as marketing.
I enjoy it to a point. It doesn't benefit me in any real way. I've started following Opta stats, which is going to leave me with loads of annoying facts. Apart from that, it's nothing but a distraction.

oh and for the record the official Pats twitter has been going a while.
If you want match updates you could follow the saintsforum account (me and a couple of others keep it updated)

Thanks Tiktok, but there's 136 characters including punctuation in that piece that was intended as a "Tweet". Or does the calculation for "Tweet" size include spacings? This just shows up my limited knowledge of "Twitter". I'm not a subscriber to that network and won't be in the future either as I just don't think I would derive any benefit from signing up.
