Carey heads for Waterford
Waterford United manager Alan Reynolds has completed the signing of Cork City’s out-of-favour right back Alan Carey, and the 23-year-old is likely to go straight into the Blues side for the first game of the new eircom League season against Drogheda United at the RSC on Friday night.
Carey lost his place to Neal Horgan at the beginning of last season, and was unable to reclaim a starting role under Pat Dolan as Horgan was one of the most consistent performers for the Leesiders last year.
