The grass is not always greener......

Sobering thought given the return of Turner to the Showgies (by his own admission he said he should never have left) and many other players that have left Rovers (Hughes, Singh, Manasaram, Raf??) over the last few seasons that thought they were going onto bigger and brghter things.

Very misleading thread title, have to say I'm a bit disappointed
"he tries his best.... but I was a proper player".

Lives nearer to Alf Stewart, definitely a step-up.

I was referring to Hughes time in Ireland leaving Rovers (in questionable circumstances remember his cut head in the Shower incident?!) going to Drogs - good times at first before going belly up soon after incurring a loss of earnings and having to head off to far flung spots like Kazakhstan for a biit of ball.

As others have said if you followed his time in Oz you would realise he ain't having a great time of it (team rock bottom, Adam 1 goal from 21 apps inc. 16 starts) and may be released at season end.

"”You try to get a club to help you with your P45 so you can maybe get a bit of social welfare. It makes me laugh - you can get your P45 and they are a week late or two weeks late. Then you see the directors driving away in their BMWs and Mercedes. They don’t have the same problems as the players do." (11-a-side.com)

The quotes from burns are pretty idiotic - he states he would have to get another job and the directors have BMWs????

Thats because they have other jobs that pay for them ....moron!
