Not sure Pep could handle the pressure of a big club like Bohs alright. It's alright winning a few tin pot trophies with those Spanish minnows but when the pressure is on and you're only drawing 1-1 with Sligo and the baying hordes in the Jodi are on his back..well that's a whole different ball game.

Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Almost forgot, Alan Reynolds, Pat Scully and Tony Cousins worth special mention also.

24 trophies isn't enough clearly. Chronic underachiever.

That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

You are probably overlooking the size of budget he had available in comparison to the other clubs in the division. I would suggest, given the resources at his disposal and the fact Dundalk have a very big catchment area for players, that his failure to win promotion at an earlier stage is a true reflection of his abilities.

On a personal level I still recall a Dundalk -v- Harps match at Oriel Park a couple of years ago where Barry Curran was denied a blatant penalty having been subjected to GBH (to call it a mis-timed tackle would be too kind). Mr Gill, in a populist fashion, was gesturing to the crowd to the effect that it was a dive. When Paul Hegarty turned on him he nearly jumped into the stand with fear!

Aside from Gill, I wouldn't be too excited if Paul Hegarty, Pat Fenlon, Stephen Kenny, Paul Doolin, Pat Scully or Eddie Gormley (simply because he exudes such an aura of misery) were appointed to the hotseat in Ballybofey.

I've seen Scully's name on here a few times.

I thought he had done pretty well with the clubs he has managed, at least in terms of their league positions.

What is it that makes him a less than desirable manager?
