Pity there is no Handicap Betting on the league. Now that could be an interesting bet.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

Has there been any since Ladbrokes were wiped out on Derry a few years back?
Tifo poles, sausage rolls and a few goals.

YOu mean the season we were 20/1 to win it, behind Drogheda for the last 6 months of the season and finished in our best position in nearly a decade?

Or the season where we trailed favourites Bohs all season and repeated that runners up spot?

    As I've said previously

If you think Pats are underpriced, don't back them. If you think Sligo represent good value, then back them...

You can talk about it all you like. You couldn't see why pats were shorter than SLigo, so I told you.

We were the third best side in the country after we signed new players after the transfer window last season (taking into account our league form and two cup runs). Think we have gotten most of the dead wood from last season (e.g cash who has signed for pats). Ok, so we have lost raf and probably boco (the former not being as big a loss as some might think) but we have held onto our most important player in Peers, and have signed some decent young players in Davoren, Foran, McCabe and Amond, with Turner being a quality signing. Think Drogheda should be shorter than galway too and both dundalk (with PP) and Cork are too short as well. J.
I personally think Sligo look the best value for money at this stage (cue collapse of season for them ) but an awful lot will depend on injuries, which in my opinion ruining their season last year.
Yet to see who shams sign and very early to be calling the League. Bohs have pretty much signed all they expect to sign (and a good lot it is too) but expect a massive scramble (with so many free agents) between now and March with one or two players picked up on the cheap having a great season.

I like the look of St Pats at 12/1 in Pp.I think theyve signed well

    Ins

Brian Cash from Sligo - cracking little player on his day
David Mcallister from Shels-midfielder with eye for goals
Alex Williams from Dundalk-will get the goals
Conor Sinnott from Wexford-probably the best player in Div 1 the last 2 seasons
Paul Byrne from Bray-decent forward when with UCD
    Derek Pender from Bray-resolute defender
Ian Bermingham from Rovers-left sided defender badly needed

These are just my opinions so Im having a few quid at 12s
