What are they at .... they said that it would run for at least 3 full season before they even brought up discussion of reverting back to any other format when it came in. And Bray and others with all the whinging over the 22 team league have forced this.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
It says in that article that eight teams voted in favour of maintaining the 10 premier / 12 first division format, well short of the two thirds majority needed. The FAI don't seem to have meddled at all.
