Family day @ The Cross, great idea!

Great set up out at The Cross earlier. Big crowd and loads of kids which can only be good for the Club.

All the players were there signing autographs etc. Dolan was excellent with the kids, chatting and making them feel important. The guy is a PR genius.

Crack was good two. All the players were in great form.

Saw a couple of funny things: Georgie's head is a laugh - #1 haircut. When I asked him what happened, he said "there was so much colour in it he had to shave it" Legend.

Then there was a load of commotion as Nwankwo came up to the crowd. A few young lads started calling him and he came over to sign autographs. They started calling him "Mikey".....as in... "c'mere Mikey biy"...... you should have seen the look on his face - total bemusment. Proved to be a real favourite with the crowd.

Everyone is chomping at the bit for next Friday night. I have a feeling that it will be good.

Pitch looks fantastic. If we can't play good football on a surface as good as that there is no hope.

By the way Flynny looks fit and is moving freely without any limp etc..........so maybe.........!!!!!!!

    ........even the sun came out.

No sign of Derek in it!

Have to say the day out was an excellent idea. A big crowd too.
I was talking to Steve O'Flynn, he is very ****ed off, talking about just his luck etc. He has to go to the hospital on Monday to see how bad it is.
Asked Greg what was the story, he said he didn't want to leave, he loves it here, and he'll have to see what happens. Would'nt like to see him going, to be honest.

Well done all at City, a really worthwhile exercise.
