    Twins

    Hey all,

Am hoping for a bit of help.

Derek and Kenneth Shevlin (twins) made their debut for Drogheda United on Valentine's Night 1998 in Ballybofey against Finn Harps.

Does anyone know if any other twins have made their debut in the same match in the League of Ireland (or even in top-flight world football)?.

    Rgds,
    Brian

I wonder if there have been any twins in the LOI at all? Can't think of any. Brothers certainly but not twins.

I remember reading somewhere about the Shevlin twins, think they played for Drogs.

Martin Keown and his twin brother both made their Brighton debuts on the same day back in 1985, I remember that getting a load of coverage at the time.

Was there really a need to explain that joke Steve?

I think they are the same Cullen twins that played for us under Con Flanagan in the early nineties.. good topic by the way to start a thread with!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Yeah that actually happened in a Carling Cup game this season. The wrong twin got booked and they had to appeal it to the FA to get it switched to the other twin.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

No only brothers. Two more great ex-drogs.
Jamie Duffy covers more ground than Roadrunner ever did
