Hi lads.

Will Mervue sign any players in the run up to the new season, or will ye're squad be the same as last year ?

Pretty much the same I'd say, with maybe a couple of junior players from the local leagues. They have no money to spend on players/wages so it should be pretty much the same as last year I'd say

there was a lot of issues to be sorted with the residents around the grounds which set it back till the end of last season before the residents commitee agreed to the proposals and let the planning permission to go through.

Well not next season anyway. They lost so much money last season that if they dont improve next season, they will be pulling out of the league completely and returning to junior status. If they have a "Great" season then we will see some movement.

Ex Shamrock Rovers & Kilkenny City player will be doing pre season with Mervue. Played with Damien O Rourke in USA.

As far as I know the player ye're on about is Alan Delahunty. He played local footy here in Waterford with local side Johnville F.C.

a cracking player... I remember his screamer for Sligo Rovers in the 2003 season against Shelbourne in the FAI Cup that year.. Has anyone a link to the goals from that game again?
