That felt like a 3 minute intro..the next song on the album would want to be a real belter.
It's been a great year for music both live and recorded... but this has just stopped me in my tracks:
Album is great too.
DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?

Now this is a serious blast from the past. Utterly beguiling today as it was in 1992. Incredible.
2018 is a better year for me remembering it.

Just discovered these guys (Frightened Rabbit) recently - some of you probably already fans - and they’ve been on rotation for a couple months now. Their music is absolutely quality and the story behind their lead singer Scott Hutchison is desperately sad. This song is a standout, especially lyrically in the context of Hutchison’s struggles. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
Also, Owl John, Hutchison’s side project released a great little album.
Top referral Stu, keep em coming. You probably know Everything Everything, they’re not dissimilar, ‘good shot good soldier’ probably the best track if you had to pick one.
Thanks Fizzer! Hadn’t heard of Everything Everything but that’s a top tune. Very unique sound to it. Will look into them some more.
Not sure if any of you have heard of Madrugada, a Norwegian rock band. A beautiful song “Majesty”.
“Am I good or bad?”
And if anyone thinks I’m just into introspective indie, here’s a bit of classic rock to get you moving. Classic with a modern Detroit twist. Just discovered these guys recently. They’re good fun if you can stand them.
Greta Van Fleet are fantastic! Heard them a couple of years ago and was wondering where these lost Led Zeppelin recordings were coming from when I was shown them.
Came across an American band in the past few weeks called White Denim. Seem to be big enough over that side of the pond but first I heard of them over here was when a work mate pointed them out to me few weeks ago.
Cracking sound, bit of a modern 'classic rock' style similar to Black Keys kind of vibe.

Also, shameless plug..my own bands new video came out today.

One of the great Irish songs, in my opinion. Phil is missed. Gone way too early.
Ah eff you, Stu! I won't get a tap of work done today with that brass (flugelhorn??) solo going round and round my head. Great start to the day though!
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!
- E Tattsyrup.
Would you believe, I just opened up a thread on another messageboard and saw this news I met her before when a few of us went to visit Phil's grave. She used to go there a lot. Lovely woman. She would have had a very hard life.

Delighted to be part of this charity EP released today. Played guitar on two tracks, and also played drums on one of my favourite ever songs, 'Cereal killer' by the deadly Dogmandu.
A four track punk EP in aid of We Care Food Bank. Features members of punk bands Excuses, Jobseekers, Dogmandu, Turfboy, and me for some reason.
Check it out if you're into punk, if you're not, definitely check out Cereal Killer as it'll make you laugh if nothing else.

Delighted to be British again and influenced by the same issues. Very lazy journalism, but good Irish bands. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...-a9319331.html
