Yeah, just been told I can leave work at 7 rather than 9.

I'll have to make it up next week, but as a short-term thinker...yaaaaaaayy!

Freezing fog was falling like glitter about an hour ago, as I was walking back from the shops, never seen anything quite like it.

Picture of Britain taken from BBC website. (Hope that's ok, if not the link is there anyway, linking to a much bigger and clearer picture)

Same in Waterford, was playing footie in it from 6 to 7 and it was quite magical under the lights. Seen it once or twice before (again at footie, under lights) think it needs to be well below zero for it to happen.
Must have kept glinting in my eyes though, couldn't pick a pass all night.

I'm beginning to regret living so close to the Luas, no buses running out my way and anyone a little bit further out is getting to stay at home, whereas I'm coming into work late and leaving early which is costing me time on my clock that I'll need to work back.

It's snowing again in the city centre (well it's just stopped again now), and it's supposed to be heavy snow and fog out in Tallaght. More fun times ahead getting home this evening so.

Excellent photo. And, of course, the little slip of green to the left is us. Must be mad in Britain at the moment.

It doesn't really matter what temperature it is after a certain point. Whether it's -8, -10, or -20, it's still freezing.

Temperature in Dublin (beside the sea) at the minute is about 4 or 5. There's a bit of a thaw - snow melting on trees getting direct sunlight. Getting cloudy again, however.

Lots of fresh snow this morning but buses along major routes seemed to be going alright- unfortunatly I was able to get into work...

Hoping it snows tomorrow morning, or at least stays as picturesquen as possible so I can go for a walk with the camera to Phoenix Park tomorrow.

I hope the snow holds off until tomorrow afternoon so that my flight doesn't get cancelled! Although having three days off at home to play in the snow wouldn't be the end of the world. It's snowing lightly again in Tallaght according to the other half, who phoned within 2 minutes of leaving the house to tell me she'd fallen on her ass, be careful out there folks I'm staying in my dressing gown for the day I think

Another fresh sheet of snow fell over Sligo, when it was predicted to only fall in the east.

And wouldn't ya know it, its starting again.

How much snow, tonight? Getting on for 10 inches at this stage and still snowing! Just about made it up the mountains after getting a gap after a stranded car had been cleared from the top.

It's a mild day in Limerick, no sign of snow or rain, with no frost on the ground.

This truly is the chosen city.
