Call him up Trap!
Call him up Trap!
To be fair to Cox, when he was being picked by Trap he was scoring some sublime goals for Forest
Folding my way into the big money!!!
linked with Burton Albion today - http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/burt...ail/story.html
Meanwhile, Burton have been linked with a move for Reading striker Simon Cox.
The Brewers are looking to bolster their goalscoring options ahead of their debut campaign in the Championship and The Sun newspaper claimed that boss Nigel Clough could be interested in the 29-year-old.
Cox scored only once in 21 outings for Reading and Bristol City last season, having bagged eight in 43 games during the 2014-15 campaign.
Clough has spoken about the importance of adding experience – as well as goals – to his side and Republic of Ireland international Cox has also spent time in the Championship with Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion.
Equalised against Sheffield United today but they trail 4-1. Cox has scored four in his last five.

Shocked to learn he's still only 30. Thought he was 34 at least. Deserves to be at a higher level.
Would love to see that goal for Reading now.

Crikey, another League One player having a stormer of a season - fifteen goals now, only four fewer than James Collins and five more than Ronan Curtis (yes, I know, Curtis is playing more as a winger and has a bunch of assists also). With thirty caps under his belt, would he be worth having a look at in an injury crisis for a bit of international experience?

His finish for the equaliser was classy, a guy on confident form.
Hard to believe Cox accumulated that many caps. I watch every Ireland match and can hardly remember his involvement. Strikes me as a guy who can score goals at any level but lacks the ability to do it consistently at the top.
I think he did enough to justify his Ireland's call.
He definitely started one of the games in Euro 2012 iirc
Has left Southend by mutual consent - https://www.southendunited.co.uk/new...utual-consent/
