Emmm, and France (1st leg), and Croatia, Spain and Italy. Six competitive defeats, not two...
He was talking about qualifiers. I assume the handball comment was in relation to the tie, which we'd have drawn had it stayed 1-0 to us.

Hmmm, fair enough I suppose, though a 0-1 defeat in the first leg is a loss for all statistical and ranking purposes. And I have heard this "we've only lost twice in six years" argument recently a few times, conventiently forgetting the other defeats that don't suit the person's argument.

And I was forgetting Germany, so it's actually seven competitive defeats under Trap in 4.5 years. Kerr also had two qualifying losses in less than two qualifying campaigns too in arguably more difficult groups, for what it's worth. That's the same as Trap, comparing like with like, meaning Trap's playoffs and tournament aren't considered, just like Cox does.

Results and organisation seem to be the main arguments in Trap's favour, with performances irrelevant according to the man's supporters. Results have been poor for a long time now, the system is non-existant (we don't defend, we don't keep the ball, we don't pose a goal threat).

'Simon Cox's Nottingham Forest recovery amazes medical staff': http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20712361

Nottingham Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll says Simon Cox is "defying medical opinion" and could face Brighton on Saturday - six weeks ahead of schedule.

Striker Cox was ruled out until late January after damaging ankle ligaments against Wolves on 24 November.

But O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He seems really positive and has defied medical opinion.

"They have said he should still be on crutches but he feels fine and he is running on the treadmill."

O'Driscoll added: "The medical staff are obviously feeling wary of pushing him too far but he is keen to be involved as soon as he can and if we are not going to do any further damage to his ankle, he could be a wildcard for Saturday."

Some analysis on Forest strikers performances, including why Cox is playing well despite not getting a lot of goals.

He needs the others on Forest to play with him a little more, kind of stroke him along.

Cox's goal against Birmingham makes the Guardian's European Goal of the Year List. Some excellent competition here! Zlatan's one against England is my personal favourite.

Despite the goal thought he had his worst performance for us yet.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Certainly his worst performance in his poreferred role. I liked the look of him in an orthodox forward role 18 months ago. He looked slow yesterday.

He seemed a bit miffed that Robbie collected the pass from Hendrick to score. If Keane had left it it'd have run through to Cox. But it looked to me like Cox had started offside. Anyone got a view?

On the way to Reading supposedly. A bit of a sideway move, but hopefully it means first team football.
