jimmy mulligan, what a player. went to ballymena i think.
What Heroic acts did half of that team do on behalf of rovers ? If the thread is about heroes expect it should be most of the 77 team and the additional lads in 83 and 94 and a few of the current crop , the all time hero would have to be steny who refused to go off at half time in 83 and instead got his leg sown back together again and went on to score the equaliser.

There are quite a few others that could make the bench, but we'll stop there.
Two international players that may have got into the team, if we had them in their prime:
Billy Hamilton and Mark Kelly
"Overwhelmed"
my memory only goes back as far as the 80's - i can't really comment on the last 3 seasons as i have seen about 12 games - hence i rarely comment on this forum any more - but here goes
O'hara - i rememember a few rovers keepers - from lally to Brujos Mcclean to Banana - he was probably the best i saw
Coleman - obvious choice - ryan cross was another that used to impress me , likewise Gerry Kelly wasn't bad -
Robbie Brunton - great player , signed from Stoke - went on to Bohs via Derry and someone else i think
Gavin Boyle - pure class - really thought he would make it at Celtic
Peers - saw alot of him under Fat Seanie in 2006 season -
Johnny kenny - tough one between him and Raf - his asthma stopped him reaching a higher level according to some
Will Hastie - quality player
Gerry Kelly - ex Bolton - whilst his time was short - i don't i have ever seen anyone who could pass the ball like him - stud out a mile whenever i saw him - had a bit of keith Foy about him though
O'Grady - quality player
Moran - legend as as far as i'm concerned
Annand - i think probably the best natural striker i have seen at the showgies -
Subs
Raf
Mulligan
Foy - on pure ability
Mcclean
Combination of the link provided with some helpful stats aswell as players i've seen myself. Youtube to an extent aswell, the one site that can make anyone look good at football - except the keeper wearing the blue top in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDxwyOGj1EM
