i heard its definite.![]()
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Rumours of :
Daryl Murphy Sunderland - Wolves for 1.75 Million to increase to 2M with clauses.
Eddie Nolan -Preston - Wolves for 750K
Also read Robbie to Celtic in the paper about a week or two ago. Was after the whole xmas party scandal. Maybe just a slow week for the sports writers. Took it with a pinch of salt.
In Fairness CR, i dont think Keane will be sold in the January transfer window, however although Harry did come out and say that keane is going nowhere - that will mean very little come the end of the sason in May and Robbie is still sitting on the bench and if Harry gets offered a good price for him.
I think he has said that keane is going nowhere to avoid an upheval in the spurs camp. What ppl have to remember in keanes case is, that he is captain of spurs, he is also a highly respected figure by his team mates, if he was to be sold in the middle of the season or the spurs management announced he was for sale at the right price, i would imagine Harry is well aware that it could cause serious annoyance within the spurs camp and does not want this ,especially as they are currently doing so well in the league and pushing for a champions league spot.
If Keane is sold , i can only hope (for Irelands sake) that it is not to celtic(sorry celtic fans). I would love him to give spain a go and see how he would do over there ( i think it would suit him), but realistically if he is sold it will be to a club in the british isles. Would love to see Roy Hodgson take a chance on him by bringing him to Fulham myself. But its just a case of Watch this Space.
Would like to see Daryl Murphy go to Wolves. He's stalled somewhat since Bruce came to Sunderland.....
Folding my way into the big money!!!
The Black Cats also want Coventry goalkeeper Kieran Westwood. (The Mirror)
Craig Bellamy and Shay Given are considering quitting Manchester City in protest over Mark Hughes' sacking. (Sun)
Spurs will offer Robbie Keane to Celtic in exchange for goalkeeper Artur Boruc. (Mirror)

Now that St Ledger has decided not to sign for Middlesbrough, I wouldn't be too surprised to see a bid from Celtic.
Fulham and Robbie Keane? I'd nearly put my (parents) house on it.
Todays Tribune tips Kevin Long of Cork City soon to join Burnley as one to watch for 2010. Joining Burnley this month and is apparently expected to go straight into the first team squad.

Seems that Mowbray is looking to bring another CB in at Celtic, St Ledger perhaps?
As he was linked with Celtic in the summer and Celtic had a cheeky £1M bid rejected by PNE pre season.
Apologies if this has already been posted. JJ O'Toole has gone to Colchester permanently. There must be some good boozers there.

Willo Flood linked with a move to Middlesbrough: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/footbal...6908-21943209/
Any move away from Celtic would be welcome for him, but with Johnson and Yeates already first team regulars, he might just be swapping one bench for another
You've really got a hard on for this St-Ledger to Celtic move havent you?
I didnt read any rumours back in the summer, nor anything about a £1m bid and I havent read anything in recent weeks, though you are right there will be movement in Celtics CB department in January.
Probably just O'Dea coming back though (The rumoured Belarussian CB coming to Celtic looks to be on hold now until the summer).
Out of interest, got any links on the St Ledger to Celtic rumour? Cheers.

I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

McGeady has been linked with teams in the EPL, Birmingham, Spurs, Sunderland (perhaps one or two others).
He is under contract (a few years left) and seems to be enjoying his football at the moment - Celtic are not in the dire straits that Rangers are and do not need to sell.
So it will take a reasonable fee to tempt Celtic to sell our best player, figures of £10m being quoted. Which would be a bargain if you look at some of the recent fees paid by EPL clubs over recent seasons for inferior players.
Had a great game on Sunday against Rangers (apart from his frustratingly poor shooting/finishing ability) Showed great energy for the 90 minutes, made idiots of Papac and Broadfoot on numerous occasions, playing on both flanks. His link up play and beating of men was great. He got an assist for the goal, though some crosses were not so good.
Not sure whether the continental clubs (Bayern Munich?) tracking him have been scared off with the price tag or what....
Meanwhile, 23-year-old McGeady is likely to have won even more admirers after another fine performance, but Celtic would demand a major fee to part with the Republic of Ireland international and will be keen to retain his services.
Birmingham's Alex McLeish is a known admirer from his days as Rangers manager and Malky Thomson was at Celtic Park to represent the Barclays Premier League club.

I think Birmingham would definately be the most likely if he does move. They have a decent transfer budget and McLeish would trust him more than most other Premiership managers having seen him up close for a long period
Its really not that complicated!!!
Any word on a move for Leon Best. I see there is interest from West Brom apparantly - that would be a positive move.
