Silly decision.
Hughes' body language gave it away today. Not celebrating any of City's goals. All very strange. Not sure Mancini is going to do any better with this group of players.
Silly decision.

mancini won all his league titles by default or because the opostiton was of a poor standard it was nothing to do with his abilities i think hughes deserved better until the end of the season anyway..
I'd understand the decision if they appointed Mourinho or Hiddink. But Mancini? Deal done back on 2nd of December!
They really want to be the new Chelsea, don't they?

See I don't go along with the idea that Mancini's titles with Inter are any lesser because Juventus were caught out cheating, Milan and Lazio collapsed as competitive sides and Roma were an average team. You still have to go out and win the league titles and he did that. My using that sort of thinking we could say Chelsea's titles weren't up to much because Leeds went bankrupt, Liverpool and United collapsed as competitive sides and Arsenal weren't as good as before.
That said I follow Inter as my Italian side and any of the games I watched where we were struggling to unlock teams, or had fallen behind, he never seemed to have much of a Plan B in place.
If I were in charge at City I'd have left Hughes in place for the rest of the season, if things weren't up to scratch by then I'd replace him with Mourinho, who would jump at the chance to come back to England.
Interesting to see if Bellamy and the rest of the players involved in confronting the chief executive hang about. Some stories doing the rounds about Bellamy flipping the lid at him yesterday, not sure how much truth are in them, but if they are then I'd expect him out in January
Oh, I don't know. Last year was a reasonably good achievement, but 06/07 and 05/06 were two of the least competitive season I've seen since Man Utd were coasting to the Premiership title for those few years between Arsenal's two great seasons. Chelsea always had at least one team behind them capable of 80 points.
If you believe that you'd believe everything, you could tell by his body language at the final whistle yesterday that he knew he was gone. It was probably part of his pay off that he had to say he knew nothing about it before the game.
Great news. He should've known not to trust them. And that goes for Given too, who's supposedly not happy - it was an obvious jump out of the frying pan into the fire.
Bring back Swales.
I would've thought Mourinho would've held out for the United job, although maybe with Blanc doing so well maybe he can see the writing on the wall in terms of taking over from Fergie.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
Good shout Macy about Blanc being a possible contender for Fergie's job when he goes. I never considered him myself tbh, always felt that it was made for Mourinho.
Blanc is getting Mourniho's job at Inter

King Eric will replace Fergie.......maybe.
Gary Cooke sounds like an absolute gob****e. Bringing Liverpool into it now.
2:0 up but then they are at home to Stoke, I guess this was to be the easy
starting fixture for Mancini.
Surprised that stoke dropped delap especailly with Given in goal, tactical blunder.
