Is goodyear owned by a certain town councillor who is also standing again in the local elections. Word on the vine is that it may be a policital donation??!!!!!

Lets face it, if I'm right, why didn't he come forward last year?? He knows the financial situation.

Good year is not owened by a town councillor.

The deal was done up in Dublin by Barry Walsh.

And has nothing to do with anyone in Cobh.

John O Sullivan said last year that he would bring in a sponser and failed.

Ya, hats off to Barry, we needed a sponsor and he found one. He also managed to have all of the home games sponsored last year. He was appointed Commercial Manager and he has landed the goods.

I have to say that I wasn't supprised to see the councillor at the press call last night at Ramblers. Not only was he there, but he was welcomed as part of the deal. the deal may have been struck in Dublin- but there is a Cobh connection other than Barry Walsh..........

I think at this point it does not matter who is involved as long as we got the deal and I think even though the town councillor was there as he knows the man from goodyear and looked after him while he was down.

I think the credit must rest with Barry Walsh for getting the deal through.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
