Foot.ie! Crowd for first home game

Hello everyone. I was just wondering, how many we expect to get for the first home game. Since we have a hard core of about 2,000 I think we should open with at least 3,500 ?

Surely more like 5/6,000 for the first game of the season. If it was anyone else but Dublin City we'd get even more I'd say.

It's vital that we get a win here though and at least one more win and a draw from the next two away games to set up the Waterford game for a full house.

That school thing was put to the club and it went well for a bit. I think now what they are trying to do is get the local football clubs to put out the young players to do the ball work.

Under-14's are not allowed in to the 'Cross unless accompanied by an adult. Given this rule, it would be crazy to give out free tickets.
There is one guaranteed way to keep thecrowds coming to the Cross....BE IN CONTENTION FOR THE LEAGUE RIGHT UP TO THE LAST DAY!

I would have expected us to get nearly 6000 for the first game but with Dublin City as the opposition I'd say it will be closer to 4500.

As Neil said, if we won our first three games or even got two wins and a draw we could be close to having a full house to greet Dan Connor and Alan Reynolds when we play Waterford.
