    Thank You

    Hi All,

I dont post much on the forum but have to say thank you to one of you. On the 12:00 EuroStar on Tues a female forummer gave me the details of the Irish Embassys in Paris. I had lost my passport in London so needed them to get an emergency one.

The lad i was sitting with also gave me details and was very helpful. He had told me that the woman was a forummer on here - nearly sure he said Pegasus but i could be wrong.

Anyway, just wanted to thank ya. Got a passport this morning and got my ass out of France

    Hows it going P,

Ah stayed in London Mon night, plan was to get the train on Tues morn to Paris. I take my passport out of my bag in the taxi 2mins from the station so i could have it to get through. Get out of taxi, get THAT funny forgetful feeling, check my pockets and its gone. Must have fallen out when i was gettin out. Taxi was gone

Begged to be let on without it,took a lot of persuading but they gave in eventually, they were pretty sound in fairness.....well except for the French passport control bloke. As i was going through, the situation was explained and his words to me were "if you say Allez Le Bleu then il let you through" while he laughed,i said it (would have done more than say that tbf haha) and him and his French mates laughed their heads off.

I never thought you would get through without it. How come you couldn't come back without it? that must have cost ye a bit.

Nah only cost €15 to get an emergency one in the Irish Embassy. They were checking passports at the train station coming back plus i had to get the plane from London anyway so needed it for then,it must be different to ferry travel. Iv gone to England by boat and havent had to show any ID.

Neil McD - dunno who it was. A Galway user of this forum told me it was Pegasus??
