Why are people who "need no introduction" always introduced?
So he came out with $hite last Friday....
Then he made some kind of half cocked apology to 'Ipswich' fans at their AGM midweek.
Today, he says something along the lines of 'he has no regrets, he was asked his opinion and he gave it - Im entitled to, im an Irish man, born and bred' A dig a McCarthy me thinks - Went on to have a dig at Wenger as well...
They appear to have cut the bit about Ireland though they did cover it on SSN

What complete rubbishIpswich Town manager Roy Keane has blasted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after his comments about the Republic of Ireland's controversial World Cup exit at the hands of France.
Keane questions the right of Wenger to pontificate about sportsmanship in relation to the affair, with the Irishman pointing out that the Gunners have hardly been a model of honourable conduct during the Frenchman's time in charge.
"People were giving their own comments last week, obviously I gave mine as an ex-player and as an Irishman," Keane told reporters at his Friday press conference, referring to his remarks that the Irish should "get over" their exit.
"And I mean an Irishman, born and raised there, I thought I was entitled to give my opinion. Everyone else has given their opinions - other managers who aren't even Irish - so I thought I was entitled to give mine.
"I've got no regrets about it. If someone asks me a question I'm going to give you an answer.
"I think I'm entitled to do that. As usual, people get upset by it.
"We're on about incidents and players, whether they be cheating or conning referees, it's all part of the game.
"I don't know about Arsene Wenger making the point. Some of the Arsenal behaviour over the last few years is questionable and Arsene Wenger never sees anything anyway.
He's an Irishman so he's allowed comment on the Ireland-France incident.
Wenger is not allowed because of quesionable behaviour in the past.
What a hypocrite, his only saving grace is that maybe he doesn't know Wenger is French![]()
Roy is getting smaller by the day.
He looks a sorry sight on that sky sports video clip.
Isn't it all so sad really? Saipan and Paris. Has any other country ever had two such monumental screw ups (albeit of a totally different kind). It's not that we're regularly on the world stage.

Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
Roy doing his best to get on the Paris stage by heckling from the street.
Wenger has said a replay would be fair, so what has Keane got to complain about?
OK, Wenger is trying to do the right thing by Henry to whom he is a kind of father figure but unless I missed something Wenger's synopsis of the match was very complimentary towards the Irish and fully acknowledged the error of the decision.
Roy is losing it by the sound of things.
What possibly goes through roy keanes mind when he is giving press conferences on the Friday before matches? Does he not realise that his team have made the worst ever start to a season since they came into existence??
Surely he'd be better off concentrating on his team!! Some people say "he is only answering the questions that are being put to him" but he is quick enough to stand up to a journo whos phone rings, surely he could fix them with his faux hardman stare and say "I'm here to answer questions about my team Ipswich, and tomorrows loss. I mean game"
ermmmmm....im bit confused ere lads...
Roy says:
"I've got no regrets about it. If someone asks me a question I'm going to give you an answer."
but just a couple of days he says about last weeks rant:
"The comments were perhaps over the top and I apologise to any supporter I might have offended," he said.
"I'm 38 years of age and I'm going to make mistakes."
how can he have no regrets but yet apologise over it and acknowledge he made a mistake and went OTT with last weeks rant.......oh Roy...why do u confuse me so!!!
His last comment about getting cameras at the emirates stadium is quite funny though for such a bitter man

You have to wonder what do the Ipswich board make of his latest outbursts ? the season nearly half over , there 2nd from bottom, huge game away to cardiff at the w/e and roys getting perplexed over an international fixture....would it be fair to say if they lose to cardiff , roy will be shown the door?
Everyone seems agree that Keane is malicious and petty. Mick remains a man of integrity.
Can Keanites concede we were right about Saipan all along?![]()
<insert witty remark>
What I find most amusing about Keane the manager & his dabbles in the public spotlight is when you compare it to how others react to the same scenario.
Yes it's a different sport, but watch Declan Kidney's press conferences & how he fields questions. What a pro, to a fault even; he gives nothing away, reserves praise & diplomacy for everyone, and never rises to a barb or an attempt by a Journo to get a quotable-quote. Sure it's journalistic drying-paint, but this is why Kidney is world-renound.
Roy Keane needs to learn that the hatchet-man / "calls it like I see it" routine is winning him no favours and is just playing into the hands of the Journalists eager to make him look a bitter fool (though Roy at the moment doesn't need outside help to do that).
I think Keane's aware of how the media works and get this, I don't think he cares about whatever circus his usually-brutally-honest comments create. More often than not, he makes valid points and sometimes people just can't take it.
For some reason I think he's modelling himself on Brian Clough...
His devils are getting bigger and shouting louder.
a devil on one side and a bigger devil on the other
