    Nope not that at all.

You are the one who said that north fans are worried about their team 'disappearing', I pointed out that this argument holds no water, then you respond by telling me to let it go!!

I repeat this again, I am not interested in one team on the island at present, i believe that we already have that to an extent. You can keep your team, however you would need to examine your small man syndrome which is so prevalent in all your posts.

Thanks for allowing us to keep our team.

Nothing "small man" about it - just a proud, patriotic, Northern Ireland, fan.

    Should I apologise for that?

I notice, that rather than deal with the substantive issues in the discussion, and pertinent questions asked, you play the man...rather than the ball.

quit with your obviously trolling posts ardeebhoy. your disdain is quite plain for all to see and your arguments as weak as dishwater, yet most are veering toward insults.
either set aside your prejudice and use of mythical stereotypes and make a reasonable argument or give posting a miss altogether.
Larne FC for Larne Town. Inver Park for the people.

I would think the evidence suggests bigots exist in both team's support.

How's about, live and let live.

Perhaps, when Northern Ireland fans (supporters of Portadown FC) are at your next love in, you'll be so brave as to tell them they're bigots for being Northern Ireland fans.

What's this nonsense about man and ball? you were proved to be talking absolute codswallop and you try and beaver your way out of it?!

I think i made my point abundantly clear in the last post.

    Now enough of your trolling!

When I said 'The bigots' I wasn't referring to all NI fans. I was referring to the bigots who happen to do support them. 'live and let live', yeah, easier said than done.

Yes, I have disdain for Northern bigots in my own country, who I've encountered often with their own prejudiced opinions about Irish people or Catholics, without them knowing my own opinions or sympathies. So I do speak from some experience.

And hence my 'prejudice', whilst 'stereotypes' can hardly apply when it relates to a minority(?) of hard-core unionists, which unsurprisingly taint a wider view.

Should add these are more 'tongue-in-cheek', when used by me to describe the wider unionist community, though they never fail to surprise me with their, er, siege mentality.
Be it their football team, some pointless march or some other superfluous aspect of their culture.

So please be mindful why people have reservations. And why I for one feel 'insulted'.

I don't remember the Dubs having a riot before, during and after a game with Poland last year, can you think of any country that did? Hmmmm....

There's bigots who happen to support the ROI...doesn't mean I wish to broadbrush those whom I know to be perfectly reasonable people.

That's true, but I just get the impression that there would be quite a few people within the 6 counties who would not take too kindly to supporting an All-Ireland team.

Aye, them Poles are innocent. The evidence from Bratislava (and numerous other venues in Europe) would suggest their hoolies came to Belfast looking for a quiet pint and an Ulster Fry.

Actually we have very few; What you'd prefer to think of your 'Mope'/'Taig' types, especially from the nationalist community, all tend to support Celtic.
Or maybe a 'neutral' PL team.....

whatever....if you can't make a sensible reply without snide comments you aren't worth replying to.
nice form of sneaky censorship you got going there. i'll just go back to the "bigots" forum now shall i, since constant twisted insults aren't really my thing....
sort it out mods. you're tough enough when you want to be.

If you didn't start it fair enough, but you can't deny throwing a coin at the linesman, booing Boruc's every move, engaging in numerous fights in certain areas of Belfast.

    Ye hardly helped the situation

    Err...yeah!

Northern Ireland supporters, funnily enough, support the Northern Ireland team. It's a shocker, eh?
