Longford native Shane Brennan could well be a very busy man on the football field this season if he has his way as he is currently trying to establish himself in the Monaghan United first team, while also playing for the Irish Colleges and DIT.

Brennan played in the Irish Colleges tour of Cyprus where he impressed and was told to try and find an eircom league club for the coming season.

In the meantime Brennan has been plying his trade with Dublin Institute of Technology where he is on a sports scholarship for the next couple of years.

Now the talented midfielder has linked up with Monaghan United and he admits that he is working hard to break into the side before the start of the league.

"I�m hoping to become a regular with Monaghan, that is my immediate goal for this season," said Brennan. "All I can do is work hard with each team I play with and hopefully that will be good enough."

Mousey was with Longford, and was released. Think he may have went to Athlone initially, but could be wrong.

yeah he's a good friend of my sister.......a bit of first division experience and you'll never know he could return

Personally I think Gary Murphy is a better prospect.

i agree if he is locked in a gym and builds up his upper body, he is just as duff was when he got into the blackburn first team, a rag doll.....if he can do that i see a big future for the local lad...
