At the Spain-NI qualifier in October 2002 (halfway through the two year goal drought ), one of our fans ran on at half-time from a home fans' section. Taking possession on half-way, he slalomed past two of the Spanish subs before scoring neatly- although the sub keeper (Canizares AFAIR) actually dived full length in a vain effort to save. Senor Dallas was shortly arrested but kept in the stadium's cells only until full time- the local Police apparently thought it hilarious

You do realise FIFA are a very corrupt organisation lead by businessmen who exploit the game of soccer for personal financial benefit.

You cannot have a reasoned argument with FIFA.

They say one thing to your face, eg about Fair Play, while they are scheming to stab you in the back, eg the seedings. There was zero fair play in the seedings. Lesser teams who played above themselves in the qualifying campaign were forced into a draw which was biased towards the bigger nations for the sole reason that FIFA wanted to keep sponsors happy.

FIFA has become a joke of an organisation and Blatter is decades out of touch. 95% of people down to the grassroots believe it's time for the use of video technology, yet Blatter, who got the job by buying off friends and opponents, remains fundamentally opposed to the use of video technology.

Maybe it's because while you can put pressure on a ref to award a goal or disallow it, you cannot influence a video replay, and ultimately video replays would introduce accountability into the game for refs, 4th officials and FIFA, and FIFA do not want that.

As for 5 officals at the world cup, it won't happen, FIFA will come up with some way to stop it. I personally think having a ref on either goal line intrudes much more on the game than someone out of site up in TMO box.

True. But it would be funny though.
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

please dont let this thread be serious.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

An idea I heard that i thought had merit was renting one of those planes that pull the banners behind them to fly above the stadiums during appropriate games. Dignified, and guaranteed to get the media looking

Crashing it into the cup presentation ceromeny would be a step too far though, even if it would grab the headlines.
