The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Whilst I won't judge him on one poor performance, the "class" he showed in the games so far was against dire opposition.
Last night was first game against eircom league opposition, and he was a disappointment - I think people expected more having heard reports from the last few outings.
Christ lads..some City fans on here can be so fickle with there own players..Fenn was superb last season and thats why he earned a move to City after turning down bohs for us..anyone who knows the game can see that he is class and with his superb touch and vision Flynny and hopefully other City players around him will reap the reward of that this season..forget last night..forget Ramblers..lets concentrate on supporting Fenn who plays for a team we all support Cork City FC..i guarentee all doubters will eat there words this year when he will again be superb...
Fenn scored 4 goals last year ...
2 against Bohs, One at home
1 against us, at home
1 against Rovers, at home
He signed for the Blues around 22/08/2003
In 19 league games he scored 4.
Just wanna see where he is at after 19 games with us.

wouldnt worry too much anyway about his goalscoring record once he links up well with flynny
after all, georgie didnt score a bagful of goals
Was surprised to hear he only 22-23 (is that correct?) when seems like he been around for long time.
I though he was 26/27?
Oh no not them again
He's at least 27 AFAIK but I am open to correction on that.Originally posted by pete

To the best of my knowledge he's around 26. I do think he'll need time to setle and I hope people are patient. I've only seen him once, and to be honest I think he was trying too hard- himself and georgie seemed to be getting in each others way. IMO might be better to put Fenn in midfield and George up front with Flynny- they have a great partnership, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!
I would say the same except for the pedestal he has been put on .... what i am saying is that if he is that good then we'll see it, until then people should shut up and sit down. In my opinion it is added, unwanted pressure and we could do withoutOriginally posted by Éanna

We know GOC will work his socks off .... our man Fenn has a name for not giving it his all, and thats from across the water, not here. I wont judge him on last year ... he had to fall in mid season etc.IMO might be better to put Fenn in midfield and George up front with Flynny- they have a great partnership, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!
For all we know he could be another "Did a stint in England but didn't do well" back here as a journey man, type player that we've all seen before.
If he plays well and keeps his head down when its needed ... then i'll be happy, not worried about goals tally, there are enough there to slot them in.

Would have to agree with that. Greg/Nwanko/Colin T providing a bit of muscle, Fenn showing a bit of creativity.Originally posted by Éanna

I also thought that Kearney played some great crosses and passes into the box last season, which suit Flynnie down to the ground. I reckon that these two could prove to be an excellent combination.
