cant see that happening...
but..... i have copied and will paste onto the Bohs messageboard, just to give the rumour some legs...
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Alot of fans think hes useless cause of his blupper against us last year at Dalymount where he came miles out of his gioal to kick a ball that was going out for a goal kick anyways and he mi**** it and it went straight to Ger Rowe who clipped it in from 35 yards or so!
Remember that well, shocker at the time. Any time he played last season (confined to cup games mainly, Dundalk game was to cover Murph suspension) he scared the living daylights out of every bohs fan watching. To be fair he was one of the Leagues better keepers the season before at UCD (as PS said) including scoring a goal. Runs a school for keepers I seem to recall.
I have a feeling he may be one of those keepers who's great when he's kept busy, but his concentration isn't quite good enough for a team looking to win the league. That theory's purely to explain his reputation though. I'd also have him back without hesitation. I reckon he's a good signing for Dundalk.
You can't spell failure without FAI
heard nothing about this in Dublin would be very surprised unless Powell was going (again would be news to me). Couple of options already at right full so dont see us looking at that position. He looked good for Everton and expect he would be pushing on for starting X1 at Goodison.
the star says that limerick have made a bid for Bobby Ryan !
I thought Gregg was quite poor and seemed somewhat of a dud in 2007 when he was rotating regularly with Quigley in 2007. I seem to recall him playing poorly in a League Cup semi in the Brandywell. I thought he was excellent in 2008 though. Commanding, caught crosses well and was a brilliant shot stopper. Can't remember about his kicking and distribution but I don't recall it being bad. I'd gladly have him back at the Bowl too.
Gregg is been lined up as our backup keeper as Peter Cherrie will be first choice.
Bobby Ryan is from Limerick.
