Ex Norwich City and Wigan Athletic manager John Deehan is rumoured to be appointed as the next Dundalk manager.
http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc...s-1959353.htmlMeanwhile, Dundalk are continuing to whittle down their options in their search for a successor to Sean Connor, with former Norwich City and Wigan manager John Deehan entering the race this week.
The 52-year-old, who managed the Canaries in the Premiership in the early 1990s and is currently chief scout at Carrow Road, is believed to have already been interviewed for the Lilywhites post, with Galway United boss Ian Foster and Joe Miller also still in contention for the position.

It's one and the same person - John Deehan who played for Norwich and Aston Villa, and later managed Norwich and Wigan. He has been helping out Kettering on a short-term basis (their player-manager is their goalkeeper). Speculation is that he is proposing Tony Cousins as assistant. Suspect that TC may be seen as damaged goods after his mauling at Galway, and unspectacular spell at Kildare.
if thats the case with mcglynn and martyn stayin thats fantastic loyalty but a bit of surprise.. so that dashes sligos hopes of ever getting Ciaran Martyn so?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Owen Morrison,Ger Rafter,Rob Turner,Martin Camano and Joe Kendrick are all expected to be let go by Rovers soon.
