    Just reading this on wikipedia:

Robert Enke was married to wife Teresa and had a daughter, Lara, who died (aged 2) on 17 September 2006 due to a heart birth defect.[21] They lived together on a farm[13] and adopted a baby girl, Leila, in May 2009.[22]

He was involved with his wife in the animal rights campaign, and they had many pets themselves.[23] He lent his face to the PETA campaign against the fur industry.
Tragic stuff, feel most of all for his wife Teresa and the the baby Leila. Judging by his involvement in animal rights, he was a man who was aware of the suffering of the others.. I find it hard to get my head around him leaving his wife and child behind. Wherever his mind was.. I don't know what to say. Terrible news

tragic. I feel for Enke and for the family he left behind. RIP.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

I can't believe it. Enke was not just an amazing keeper, he was a great person, a nice character and a very intelligent guy as well. I'm really sad. Germany is shocked and in deep mourning.

    RIP Robert Enke

Very very sad news indeed and if there's a lesson to be learned from it its that you never know whats going on in people's lives. Never presume you know whats happening for somebody and look after your friends and people close to you. It was one thing in Ireland we were very good at.Looking out for neighbours and friends and its something we do a hell of a lot less.

I study psychotherapy and I suppose I'm in touch which just how much suffering and struggle there is out there. Its not always apparent and is often so well disguised. Some people become so desperate that taking their own lives seems the only relief.

There is still a certain stigma associated with mental illness.

    May he rest in peace.
