"At the end of the day"
"Its a game of two halves"
and worst of all the GAA "take yer points lads, the goals will come" - they just automatically happen at some stage
"Do it early"....strongly used in junior soccer circles.
"Soft Day, Thank God"
"C'mere I wantcha, biy"
"Git yer wrappin' paper.....foive for feeefty".

2/3/4. if you had offered me a 2-2 draw before the game i would have laughed at you, this is (insert ground) afterall, not many teams get anything here, but the lads done well, covered every blade of grass on the pitch and on balance i think we desreved to win it.

1. Thats fine!!!!!!!( when its blatantly not fine )
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
yeah, that bainisteoir thing is annoying alright. Hear that kind of thing a lot in other contexts too- e.g. University literature I've seen has things like "languages available: French, Spanish, Germand and Gaeilge." Why they have to do stupid things like that?
anything that eanna says generally annoys me...
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
at kids football match when a throw in is about to be taken:"down the line"(shane, darren, johnathan,)
no, but City do play at the Cross, Bohs play in Dayler, and Rovers play at the.... oh, that's right, they don't have anywhere to play!Originally posted by Conor74
He also says 'Semple' as if it's a place as in 'the Tipp lads played well in Semple yesterday...' The name of the ground is Semple Stadium. Do Man Yoo play at 'Old'? Do Cork City play at 'Turner's'? Do Pats play at 'Rich'? Why give half the name of the stadium?
