What did Roy call him up about and more importantly what did he say???
wouldnt go that far.made alot of mistakes. (johnny mac contract extension, appoint kenna ,could name aload more) but the one saving grace was cutting the budget at the start of the season. at least the club is still alive (and financially healthy, if his newspaper quotes are correct)
Saint Patricks Athletic Fans Team. Eircom League Supporters Cup Champions 2006. P3 W2 D1 L0 F3 A0. Thats why we're champions, Thats why we're champions, Thats why.............
Exactly. I couldn't care less if he presents himself well on TV or if he has a half-decent newspaper column... I've seen nothing to suggest that he did a good job at St Pat's.
He took a punt on Kenna... easy mistake. But allowing Kenna (and his assistant) to fly in and out for training and games? That's an absolute joke. I also think Johnny Mac would have had a strong case for constructive dismissal against him.
If the fish jumps out of the river and flops around trying to get into an empty net on the bank, it's hardly poaching.
Kenna was whoring himself around the league. He got a nice tour of Turner's Cross and Bishopstown from Tom Coughlan and was interviewed for the vacant manager role before he went to Pats. Just because he said he was committed to Galway doesn't mean he was.
Sadlier came across as a decent fella who knew his football, Pat's fans are best placed to judge whether he's a loss, when the league is losing clubs it seems strange to class a media friendly CEO as a loss to the league

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
