    Civil Service Survival Kit

    After having worked in the Civil Service I've made a few observations. The following are what I reckon you need to get through an average day;

*Internet; There are a few subsections to this part tho'
-foot.ie my average post per day on here pre Civil Service were about .5 now its a lot more.
    -java games
    -online newspapers
    -email

*A favorite drink. Something like coffee, tea or hot choc, even water. Give you an excuse to go walk about and talk to that guy who's name you dont know.

*A common sporting interest. In Ireland most meetings had 5 minutes at the start and at the end which were GAA related. In Wales it rugby. Also a good source of tickets.

*Being able to use phrases like "We're waiting on clearence" or "I cant act until I get clear outline of policy". Passing the buck, usually onto the Minister/higher power usually works.

*An ability to walk around town for your long lunch break. Usually involves checking out sport shops, buying tickets for football etc.

Im sure theres much more but cant think of them now.
    Oh no not them again

i'd have to agree with all of the above and add speakers for your pc to listen to the radio,a superviser who doesn't care what you do all day and a goodlooking co worker to keep you awake

Ahh speakers. Dont have them in Wales, had them in Dublin.

Could do with a good looking co-worker too.

No chance you'd send me over both Max?

Lets put it this way, Max is either asleep or on the Internet.
It's unlikely he has any good looking female co-worker.

Maybe your reading problems stem from an eyesight problem?

    Excellent.
Send me a PM with the details.
The girls in the PPO wouldn't spill the beans.
Does the girl in question work in IH?

Apparently there was food there too but I didn't see that either.
I guess I just got too excited when the queue for beer dissappeared as the free bar closed.
