4th place will not get you inot Europe this year. The reason it got us there last year was the Derry and Bohs were in Cup final both of whom had already qualified for Europe.

    Derry officially gone

derry sadly gone now, have to say i liked derry and it was a local derby (kinda). hopefully the club are trying to secure some signings from them to improve us for next year. surely next year the top 4 is a serious possibility if we get a few decent signings in and hold on to what we have. be interesting season next year to see who stays and goes

    Thumbs down

Sad to see Derry gone it will hit us more than most reckon at least 20k wiped off next seasons gate receipts with them gone and UCD promoted , they always travelled in big numbers and as mentioned before never any hassle, will miss the 2 quid pre-match pints of harp on good friday also.

Three teams left in the premier to the west of the country. Possibly SIX Dublin clubs in the top league next season plus Dundalk just up the road. Its a disaster Derry are gone what ever way you look at it.

What ye really need is some team in the middle of the country. Say, Longford Town maybe?!

Following on the arrival of six Dublin clubs in the league, FAI have announced new sponsorship for next season. League will be known as The Dooley Express League.
