Are the yellow cards from group games cancelled

I'm just wondering if the yellow cards some of our players picked up in the group games are still in effect, or are they cancelled now?

I think McGeady, Given, Dunne and a few more were on yellow... so I really hope they have cancelled the yellow cards for the play-off games.

    No they carry forward.

Blatter will review the situation after the first leg.

What's that about? Why not have the rules set now, one way or the other?

Suppose the situation will depend on how favourable the booking situation is for the seeded teams?

After a meeting between Blatter and Platini it was decided that yellow cards will not be carried forward for the French and to balance out this decsision all Irish players on a single yellow card will be banned for the second leg.
Fair Play died Nov 18th 2009, Stade Francais.
