Any news if Burren Utd will be punished by the Clare League?
Probably not as it's a bit late in the season for the Clare League to grow a pair of balls.
Manus B beat Manus A 3 nil.

Nice Post Banner Balls...............no shortage of them in your pants with comments like that
They should indeed be punished, as should any club unable to field a team, for no reason other than its the only way to deal with situations like this.

Manus 'A's demotion at the hands of Manus 'B'
I'd say they'll definately get some sort of punishment off the Clare League alright, back in '08 Kildysart gave 2 walkovers with about 4 or 5 games to go in the league and were deducted 6 points, fined and finished on -1 points, hopefully the Burren will be deducted points for the start of their 10/11 campaign. It would've been more in their manager's line to have been looking after his own players at his own club besides trying to get other players suspended
LIFFORD 3-2 MOUNTSHANNON
Lifford went 1 down just before half time, they equalised early second half and were well on top but mountshannon hit them on the break with about ten mins to go and went 2-1 up. Lifford stuck at it and scored the 2nd goal with 5 mins to go and the winner 2 mins later. I must say I was delighted they stayed up and they fully deserved it. 4 town teams next year which will make for some great battles i m sure.
Well done to Lifford on staying in the premier. Great run of results since they changed manager earlier in the season.
4 town teams in Premier now...Avenue,Lifford,Tage and Rock. Usual derby games between Bridge, Newmarket, Bunratty and the Rovers. Bridge Cel and Tulla also will make it a competitive Premier next season.
Avenue 5-1 Rock Rovers
going from strength to strength now, its a pity the seasons ending. Final against tulla thursday night...treble is in our sights
good result against one of the best teams in town ( ;-0 )
The 2010 Clare League AGM will take place on Monday 21st June at 8.30PM in the West County Hotels in Ennis
In all fairness there seems to be a lot of influence on fixtures from certain clubs this season as well as some lenient disciplinary actions handed out by the CL.
Do I hear a cabinet reshuffle on the table?
I am afraid I gave up very early this season trying to make sense of most of the discisions made by that committee and the kick in the face incident finished me altogether. All I can say, I hope there are a few changes, not in the position to do it myself but I do know there are good people in the soccer world in Clare who would have aspirations to push forward positively and develop. Hope the AGM goes well and best of luck to everyone in the coming season.
i hope avenue dont get any of the newly promoted teams in the first couple of games or else there will be conspiracy calls that the clare league are giving them the title already!!
p.dunne down for thurs night final.. he hasnt reffed an avenue game in years,, is this his last hurrah ?
This is the word on the street
Potential New teams are Limerick Garda, Clare Garda, Doonbeg, Avenue C, Fergus Rovers
Talks of a 4th Division as well.
I suppose we'll have to wait for the AGM to find out more.
Fair enough if Doonbeg, Avenue Utd C and a Clare Garda team want to enter the Clare League but if they allow a Gort team and a Limerick Garda team into the Clare League it's a joke, there's plenty of room for them in their own counties.
All I know bout the Gort team they have underage teams in the league this season for the first time and they have a decent pitch and changing rooms, the reason they were saying they wanted to enter was their senior teams only got about six games last year(don't know how true this is, only going what their underage manager told us) in their respective leagues. Is there enough Gardai in Clare to have a team? Will Clare expierence a rise in crime every Sunday from 11 to 12.45 during the winter?![]()

Gort have entered all their underage teams in Clare this year so obviously see their future in the Clare league as opposed to Galway. I'd expect that Limerick Garda will be playing their games in Clare?? If that is the case don't see an issue with it.
Don't think Clare League or anyone else could have stopped Shannon teams moving to Limerick. They had made their mind up to leave irrespective of what Clare League had to say about it.
