    Former city player to retire

    Skip the GAA bit but the article suggests that Gareth Cronin may have to retire.

    i was always a big fan of Gareths

    I would agree with pete.
    One of my favourite players ever to play for City.
    I hope he gets over this. I'd love to see some sort of presentation to him during the season, a la the Stephen Napier/Patsy thingy last season.

    Btw, Gaz was out in Bishopstown last Sunday. I hope the fuppin cold didn't make it worse !

    Consistent,Solid and a very good full back for us over the years..pity he moved on to Rovers a few years back..anyway best of luck to the guy who always did very well when he played....

    one of our best ever IMO, and a really sound fella too. I heard he'd been having injury trouble and the ops weren't having much success. Good luck to him

    Yeah, I think that would be a nice touch. He deserves it alright as he was fantastic in his first spell with us.
