    Undertones benefit for Derry City

I saw a poster advertising a benefitgig that the Undertones are doing for Derry City at the Nerve centreand thought it was a great idea and would have gone along but then saw the date, same day as the home leg of the play offs so that was that ! Why did they not arrange it for a night when there wouldn't have been such an obvious clash of interests, and more chance of a good pay day for the club?

Gig looks as if it will sell out anyway.
Tifo poles, sausage rolls and a few goals.

    Hi

The date was the only date that suited all 5 members of the band (they live in Derry, Dublin and London)

The band will not be onstage until 11pm so if you're local you'll be able to take in both the match and the gig, many are doing this

Thanks Vinny, but the closest I reckon I could be by that time would be about Dundalk.
I hope the gig is a success though. Oh and Kev, you're not the Kevin the one with the nice warm coat are you?

Nope punkrocket, and my degree is in economics not maths, physics or bionics.

Will this cash still go to DCFC or will the fans hold onto it to start a new club with?

A degree in Economics? come on now, that's too much of a coincidence. The avator gives it away.

It's going to the DC Development Committee and NOT the black hole of debt that's there now at the Club

    Great gig!
Great turnout considering the negative PR leading up to it and the Ireland v France game on the same night

Looks like the gig made just over £2K for the Development Committee
