I'd like to thank Longford Town for handing us the opportunity to win the title last night. UCD fans have always had a soft spot for De Town, but you're now heroes in our eyes.

Credit to Longford for troubling both UCD and Shelbourne in the last week. Had Shels beaten Longford and ran it to the last day we may have faltered so thanks for last night.

Maybe we will meet in the Cup again as it will be a while I fear before we meet in the league again (unless everyone goes bust and they make a one division league!)

I had him on speaker phone in the middle of the big group of us at one stage towards the end, but he got stage shy and hung up.

see in the supporters club notes tonight that Derek Glynn got his hattrick and tom king only scored one.. its a good total from glynn 15 goals considering the crapness of his play for most of the year. Its one goal better off than Darren McKennas last season..

All the confusion over Glynns goal is because of the announcer calling out Kings name (he was probably updating aertel too), we all saw Tom King nip down the wing and square it to Glynn to finish off his hatrick.
