Hopefully you'll get two results to help that on Friday.

Play like you did on Friday and you could well get (another) point off them. I think we've more guile than Shels when teams pack the defence. Updates appreciated.

We only had the one striker for the Athlone game but Hynes and Bisto are available for this one. Not going to predict a result on this one but our performance tonight will need to be a lot better than some of our recent performances in Tolka.

I also like Tallonted would go for the draw and that will be enough to give UCD the title!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

All the media has Tom king down as scoring 2 goals but the Shels announcer was wrong King passed to Glynn to complete his hatrick for our 4th goal, what a game though, waited a long long time to see us beat Shels at Tolka and it was worth the wait. Glynn and King were super, having said that Brennan and Hedderman were muck at the back for Shels. Great win and the most important thing we are now guaranteed to finish ahead of scumlone, bragging rights for another year! C'mon De Town

Mick Foley was fantastic as well, until he had to go off injured again, thought he ran the show in midfield. Also, was impressed with Russo for probably the first time, broke up the Shels play in midfield well. Glynn was outstanding, when he's interested he's some player. King ran his nuts off as usual, and did fantastically as well. Some performance!

I wonder what odds a 5-4 to us scoreline would have been pre-game?. What a result, I knew we'd never hold them but scoring 5 was not something anyone could imagine. Another impressive result for Gareth Cronin, hopefully he'll stick around and give it a full season next year and we'll see what happens.

Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

My phone kept hopping with updates from Marty, what a match... And doubly delighted we messed up Shels season too.

By the way, I'm rigging the UCD end of season votes. Shels 4-5 Longford will win the Best Game poll, just ahead of Shels v UCD and Shels v UCD.

its taken me two days to post on this but wow what a result! the first goal was when Derek Glynn broke the dodgy offside trap to loab Delaney then Adrian Murphy got the peno for the second. for the third adrian murphy passed the ball across the box to Glynn to score an easy one! game changed when Foley had to be taken off injured.. Richie Baker was brought on as sub and he made an instant impression on the rest of the first half.. Shels made it 3-1 then Baker scored a cracker of a freekick..

Second half town got their fourth when Tom King broke free down the left and passed it to Derek Glynn who couldnt miss for his hattrick! But I will like to look at the footage again as the announcer said Tom King scored and all the papers have it as Tom King.. Shels brought it back to 4-3. Then Tom King broke free and slotted it past Delaney. shels made it 5-4 with the last kick of the game.

Foley Glynn Adrian Murph and Tom King had big games for us. I am very emotional today as this makes up for not beatin Shels earlier in the season. Unbelievably its Town first ever victory over Shels in Tolka even though we beat Portmarnock in the Fai Cup in 2001 and Shamrock Rovers a few years ago..

The best part was the Shels " fans" telling us to shut it and mind my language! Sore losers! Delighted that Ucd won it.. I am expectin the Ucd crew to dedicate the next issue of the fanzine to us...
