Secondly it proved to all other premier division clubs that the license is indeed achievable....this is only going to be good for the league in general !!!

    At what cost though?
How many people can go to a game at the 'well now?
Is it a 4 sided ground?
Is there a down side to this?

    2,500 seats.....

But hopefully this will pressure our council now into moving quicker on either re-developing the other side of the ground or giving DCFC a long term lease so we can go about it ourselves.

The license issue is essential to pull Irish football out of the amateur mess its in.

Fair play to Derry-hopefully they won't be punished in the long run for not dragging their heels.

With the Lone Moor side closed though how can they say there's entrance to two side of the ground etc etc... ???
EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny

I think it is a more than oneside thing ... so Brandywell road and the other side will do.

That is a good point ..... Could get the licence be a disadvantage with all the other clubs so far behind. (probably only 2-3 other clubs nearly there)

Bigger picture though ... better sooner rather than later. Hope they dont stop at just that .... Council are really fcuking about on this one i think .... how long does it take to come back with an answer?

i would imagine that with this A licence more pressure can be put on the council to do something about the situation. the council own the ground however if derry city were awarded a long term lease then i imagine we would be able to take advantage of funding not viable at the minute due to the councils ownershp. The Licence shoulds help the SoS boys and hopefully they'll get something out of the useless council

It would be mad if they dont ... if they give the long term lease, it would basically relieve all the pressure from themselves and the City of Derry get a developed stadium in the long run. I know it is not as clear cut as that but something has to be done.

Fair play to Derry. Hopefully some other clubs will soon be up to the A standard and also lets hope Limerick get organised.
