I wouldn't agree that the songs are abusive at all. Okay, some are funny, but they aren't exactly abusive! There are songs like the fields......, the banks.....etc etc.

The Shed is dead. Its been happening for quite a while, its been dying on its feet. I don't blame the fans for that though, I blame the Club/"stewards". A bad element started there a few years back, it took hold and now look!

ive kinda forgot my point so i'm gonna shut up now!!

Oh and another thing-todays ref was absolutely diabolical. I don't know is the way that refs dont like Cork or what?

    Todays Match

I for one agree that 'The Shed' is dead. God be with the days when you could hear The Shed in full voice even before one got into the Cross. These days it is so quiet. I don't think they managed a shout/song/comment until about 30 minutes in.
That twit Moses thinks he's a God, somebody should tell to cop himself on. One sad ejit.

    Something needs to be done.

    Unhappy

Well, judging by Sunday's performance the Shed does indeed appear to be dead. I know it wuz only Longford, and that the game itself wuz nothing to get excited about, but there's more atmosphere in Turner's Cross Church. All the singing seemed to be aimed at "The Curragh Boys", and not at our boys in red. All the songs that were started seemed to die a quick and painful death, given the fact that there was only about 20 people singing, and everyone seemed to be really pished off with singing songs at the Derrynane that the just couldn't be bothered joining in.

As for Moses, on Sunday all he seemed intent on doing was insulting the lads on Derrynane, yet people were backing him, the very same people who wanted his head a few short months back.

There is a serious problem with the Shed, an almost comlete lack of unity. Hark back a few weeks ago to the Rovers game and it seemed like the old days, non stop singing in a packed Shed. This is what we need, what the club need, and, more importantly, what the players need.

    Let's stop the rot

The Shed was certainly very quiet yesterday, but so much seating around the ground now, fewer and fewer people are standing. A couple of seasons back the Shed was the place to go and reputed around the country. However now there's plenty of DRY seats and plenty of empty terrace space.

I dont think Bernie or Mick actually go to the shed Waaaaaaaayne as they are too busy selling lotto tickets and then they go to the stand.

dont really go to the shed much ånymore.
you mean you dont go to city matches much very often.

Anyway does this mean you're going to change your name form scoooty the shedender so

If you need any suggestions for a new name then i could definately come up with a few for you, as I'm sure could many others here.

It would be a pity to let the nackers and the Biblical figure (as Gerry D. called him!) drive people from the Shed. I personally prefer standing at games, and also the Shed has a bit of history about it.

But with the new roof on the Derrynane Side, it's noticable that a lot of people have left the Shed for a seat over there. I can't blame them really.

I've said it before that the fault lies with the stewards.

Sure in a years time, who knows? Parts of the Derrynane side will be full of little scum bags!
