No place for Super Kev in the starting line-up for the game against Italy this afternoon. Kev is replaced by Waterford's Daryl Murphy. It's his first ever start for Ireland and he will play up front with Arsenal's Stephen Bradley.
Good news however for Liam, because he comes in on the left wing with Michael Foley moving from the left to the centre of midfield in place of Glenn Whelan.
The team announced for todays game is:
Republic of Ireland: Henderson (Aston Villa); Kelly (Tottenham Hotspur), Cooney (Coventry City), Paisley (Longford Town), Kohlmann (Borussia Dortmund); Flood (Manchester City), Keegan (Leeds United), Foley (Liverpool), Kearney (Cork City); Murphy (Waterford United), Bradley (Arsenal).
