Confirmed on l'equipe that the game is sold out. All 49,500 tickets that were on sale have been sold, with 8,500 going to the FAI and 20,000 kept aside for french clubs, sponsors etc.

Looks like there'll be a lot of people travelling without tickets, though I'm sure picking them up over there wont be much of a problem from touts.
Let's hope a lot of local purchasers bought their tickets to sell on.....and the Irish don't get ripped-off! Or included their clubs and sponsors tickets also.

Like yourself, Ive not been able to travel to away games this campaign (due to a change in personal circumstances) and Paris will be my first away game, though I have attended all the home games and the few friendlies in LondonId like to think my historic travelling would count for something (but obviously there is no way the FAI can or will be able recognise that)

Ive attended 3 of our last 4 playoffs home and away - yes youve guessed it, Anfield, Brussels, Bursa but I didnt make it to Iran where we actually won!!!

Surely you guys would have no problem with me gettting a ticket - Im no jinx
dont see a reason why away friendlies shouldnt be included - Its what the Scots include when they allocate points for away games

    Folks,
I need some help! I have a french friend who has access to south end tickets, CAT 4 OR CAT 5? Does this make sense? they are 42euro and 80 euro tickets?, is there by any chance if i do purchase sud end tickets that the frogs will be there too or is there anything official on where the irish fans are going to be allocated.

    Regards,

    Paul

Away supporters generally get allocated the worst seats so I'd expect that we will be behind one of the goals. If you take a ticket which was purchased in France, I'd imagine that you're pretty much guaranteed to be sitting with French supporters.

You should take the tickets even if you do not want them anyway. Any number of people on the site - see the French ticket exchange thread - will take them off you at that price. Better us have them than the French.

CAT = catagory (in case you hadn't figured it out)

And as already said. if you by 'em in France then you'll be "with" French supporters though if you're in the south end then you'll most likely be closer to the Irish fans than if you were elsewhere.

What also makes the difference is 'bas' (low) and 'haut' (high) as the away supports are normally in the 'bas' section (closer to the pitch).
