When talking of players in the aftermath of their collapse against Germany, Capello mentions Dawson, Zamora, Adam Johnson, Gibbs, Rodwell, Phil Jones, Wilshere, Walcott, Agbonlahor & Hargreaves as players he plans to look at if he continues in his job (which is likely). Whatever is happening to the two or three players Trap mentioned who are awaiting to swap their allegience to us, apparently awaitinig their irish passports, this seems to be going on for quite a few months, it has suddenly all gone quiet, anyone got any news or is it just plain nonsense...
I expect Paul Green was one of them.
Shane Duffy was probably another?
Any news on this front? trap said few months ago that naughton is definitely changing over, all that was needed was paperwork. other teams got the paperwork sorted in time for world cup

I wouldnt expect any to sign up, think they wouldve been included in the Argie squad if they were.
Gary Cahill was the only outfield player not to be brought on tonight against Hungary.

An appearance tonight wouldn't have tied Cahill to England anyway as it wasn't a competitive fixture, but it doesn't really look likely that he'll ever set his attention on lining out for us, does it?

The influential Davies has also turned down Scotland. Bolton boss Owen Coyle said: 'It's the same with Gary Cahill. He could have 30 caps now for the Republic of Ireland because he's eligible to play for them and probably other home countries as well.Cahill was in Capello's last squad but once again missed out on winning his first cap - something Coyle feels will come eventually.

You have to respect Cahill for that, as opposed to certain others who are trying to keep all options open for themselves.
When i saw this thread had new posts, I thought someone was going to advocate the calling up of Kevin Nolan (not again!) after yesterdays performance.
cahill's come on for England.
I'd say he has a real chance of starting on Tuesday with Dawson's injury and Upson seemingly out of favour (or is he injured?)

How good is this guy? I haven't seen anything of him. He finished well against MC tonight but maybe Shay could have done better...
Anybody know anything about Josh McReachan?? Guy that came on for Chealsea during the week..
He's seventeen, very thinly built, and looked great when he came on. Not eligible for us though.
how many english players can actually play for us over there? oh and scottish too and yanks as well.
